So yeah... Makeover Makeover... Some of ya'll might be think that after the camp everything is OVER... Well you're wrong then... We actually just started! We have a whole full year to undergo it! And we're not going it alone... We are even right now being madeover by Jesus and His crew!

Rachel, Pei Yen, Rena, Jean-Li, Vincent the booklet's amazing... Just Got to read everything after the camp... HAHA... the booklet itself was indeed an extreme makeover itself... It changed so much from the initial one... I seriously wanna thank you all so much doing it willingly... Thanks Rachel for coming in RIGHT AFTER your exams... we shall acknowledge your sacrifice! Pei Yen thanks a lot. I mean A LOT! and Rena you have been really really helpful... You continued doing it although stressed... The Lord see your faithfulness... May He bless you double for your trouble! Vincent thanks for all the sacrifices you made. coming everytime and making everything nice.

Your excitement and zeal for the Lord has not gone unnoticed! Sorry seldom fill you in with details but you still faithfully do the things I give to you. You are really a very good backbone. HaHa. a dependable girl that's shining brighter and brighter!

Hey people,

Please wear the Youth Camp 08 Camp T-shirt on the first day on camp. It is the "are you ready for MORE?" shirt.

On another note, there will be water games during the camp, so do bring DARK, CAN-BE-DIRTIED OUTFITS =) Don't worry, we promise you are going to have a lot of fun.

On yet another note, for the formal night, guys MUST wear SHIRTS, meaning those with collars and buttons, NO T-SHIRTS, POLO SHIRTS etc. are allowed. As for long-sleeved or short-sleeved, that is up to you guys =D

We invite anyone who feels that he or she has talent to sign up, you can do absolutely anything, including song, dance, even telling jokes, but please keep it decent. Remember, we are glorifying God.

For the youth camp, some meals will be eaten outside (the hotel). Basically, you all have the freedom to choose what to eat, but there is a limit to how far you can go.

Anyway, here is a video showing you some of the makan places available. Note: the video starts at the location where the bus will drop off, so you can find your bearing from there.

For this Youth Camp, there will be a ALL DRESS UP NIGHT, with a CHRISTMAS FEEL! This night is themed: A Star Is Born > The Celebration. So start preparing your formal/semi-formal attire now.

Looking forward to seeing everyone looking smart and looking their best =) Please feel free to dress up yourself with a lil Christmas flair to your formal/semi-formal attires. Dress up!!! BUT. please dress decently as well. Dress how you will be comfortable jumping around and having a blast WITH GOD! so ya. DRESS DECENTLY AND RESPECTFULLY. =)

There will be a TALENTIME during that night as well so guys, watch out for the forms and sign up fast! Its a first come first serve basis. The form to sign up for this competition should be out later on tonight or tomorrow so you can print it out when its posted and pass it to us A.S.A.P. before the camp or at the camp. We will open it again at the camp and then close the registration on the second day in the afternoon after lunch.

The blogger recalls his beautiful memories last year at Stella Maris, it was Youth Camp 08.
Well, one of the things I enjoyed alot was watching the live band performing one of my favourite songs, This is Your Life by Switchfoot. It spoke alot to me personally and the band delivered it well. Heres a vid of it.

- The Biggest Agent Of Change-

I believe the BIGGEST AGENT OF CHANGE is definately LOVE. In the bible, the word of GOd says in 1 Corinthians 13:4

That i say, is TRUE LOVE. A perfect LOVE so great, that it could change lives completely! That is the love of God.

So thats basically why we're here, to share with all of you guys the perfect LOVE that we have found in our awesome God! So be ready to experience God's awesome love at the CGBC YOUTH CAMP 09!

We all look for change. Once we get bored of something(or someone..), we look elsewhere for that change.

He're some phrases I often hear from numerous people:

"I'm so sick and tired of this!" or,

"I don't like this shirt la, i'm gonna never wear it." or, my personal favourite,

Sound familiar?

I had admit, i've said and done all those things before above.

But, my question is, are all changes good?

HEY GUYS! WE'RE FINALLY LAUNCHED!

A foreword from the organizers:

Hey people! We're just so excited for the camp this year! We are a group of young people(and OLD), from Canning Garden Baptist Church Ipoh, holding our annual YOUTH CAMP and this time we'll be in Kampar's newest hotel production(eh its awesome okay), Grand Kampar Hotel. So the committees have been selected from our own youths and we're already going on with the planning!

This blog will be give you guys a little insight and info of what the camp is all about and what we're doing in the process of making it happen!

For those that do not know what a youth camp is, its a camp where we sum up all that we do as a youth group week in, week out, in all those 3 days. Its just a reflection of what God wants to do in individual lives and also this generation of youths!
